omg.. there's so much that's happened since my last post. my budding toddler leaves little time to spare, and when i do get a break, blogging is not top priority. so i'll try to blab it all quickly now.
1. we got a family pet.. a kitten. her name is Gizmo. she's a cutie but she's been sick since we got her. i estimate, we have spent around $300 on getting her well thus far. i have had some regrets getting her, but i'm sure once she's well, she will be a wonderful pet. Cruz is really excited to have a kitty! maybe a little too excited.. lol. he's pretty gentle around her, but then he yells, "KITTY!" and scares her. Gizmo will be one brave kitty for sure!
2. i became playgroup captain of my Stroller Strides class. now, i plan group activities for the babies and toddlers to do after the mommies workout. my first playgroup was arts and crafts for Father's Day.. we made sticker cards and colored pictures for the daddies. the project was fun and kept the kids attention for about 20 minutes so i would call it a success. next month, i'm planning story time at the beach and lunch at a near by restuarant that has a nice outdoor garden area that will keep the kids entertained while the mommies can eat and chat. i'm looking forward to planning some fun activities for my group!
3. funny story: i caught Cruz with his hand in the cookie jar. i had a box of cookies sitting on the kitchen counter that apparently wasn't out of his reach. i heard him messing with something in the kitchen and had a feeling he was up to no good. when i went to check on Cruz, i saw him sitting on the kitchen floor surrounded by crumbs, face covered in chocolate, and with a pile of cookies in front of him with a bite or two taken out of every one. i laughed at such a site and quickly grabbed my camera to take a picture before taking away the cookies.
4. i got my hubby a biplane ride for Father's Day. he enjoyed it and had a fantastic and relaxing weekend.
5. i took Cruz to the zoo for the first time. we went with another mom and her daughter from Gymboree class. we had a great time. i really enjoyed spending time and talking with the other mommy and her daughter was such a joy. her and Cruz got along really well!
well, that's all for now. my hubby just got home and i need to chat with him before giving Cruz his bath. break time is over.. back to being mom ;)
